To the valued customers of STANLEY Electronic Security
We announced this week that Stanley Black & Decker has accepted an offer from Securitas to purchase the Stanley Black & Decker Electronic Security and Healthcare businesses, inclusive of STANLEY Security. We’re writing to let you know that we fully support this announcement and to provide you with background on this planned move and what it will mean for you.
First and foremost, we want to be clear that nothing will change for the foreseeable future, including your team and the services they provide. We will likely finalize the agreement in the first half of 2022 and, even then, it will take some time to integrate our businesses and teams. You should continue to work with your STANLEY Security and Healthcare representatives as you currently do.
We firmly believe this is the best long-term decision for you and our team. The combination of our two businesses aligns our employees with an organization whose primary focus is on creating healthier, safer, and more efficient environments for our collective customers. To be clear, STANLEY Security will continue to do everything we currently do to provide consistent customer service to meet your needs as we navigate through this transition, and Securitas is fully committed to maintaining service levels and developing a good relationship with you. You will receive follow-up communication after we finalize the agreement, which is expected to be in the first half of 2022, detailing the immediate next steps if any.
